Garlic, basil, ripe tomatoes and olive oil bring plenty of flavor to an Italian meal. Dining vegan at Cafe Luce? Let your server know before ordering at our Midtown East or Hell’s Kitchen restaurant so we can help you choose suitable pasta, sauces and toppings.

Your pasta, prepared your way

Choose our gluten-free vegan penne or spaghetti, available for a $2 supplement. These pasta options are not made fresh in-house.

Ask about Aglio e Olio, Arrabbiata, Tomato Basil or Pesto. Our pesto contains no Parmesan. Tell your server you are ordering vegan and request olive oil instead of butter, with no cheese garnish.

More ways to enjoy your favorites

Ask our team about Eggplant Pasta without pecorino or Alla Caprese without mozzarella, prepared with vegan pasta and olive oil. The kitchen can confirm the ingredients and whether the changes can be made for your order.

For a lighter start, consider Italian Salad with olive oil and vinegar, or Tri Color Salad without Parmesan and with olive oil and vinegar. Ask about Bruschetta Pomodoro or Bruschetta Mediterranean without cheese; the team can confirm the bread ingredients and prepare suitable toast with olive oil.

Please let us know before ordering

Selected dishes can be prepared with olive oil instead of butter on request. Mention that you are vegan before placing your order so our team can check the complete dish, including pasta, sauce, bread, dressings and garnishes.

Gluten-free and vegan are different requirements. If you have an allergy or celiac disease, tell the team as well and ask about preparation and cross-contact.
